The Trustees at Victorious Academies Trust would like to appoint a casual Supply Teacher to work across our schools in Tameside, Glossop and Stockport.

Location - Greater Manchester (Tameside, Glossop and Stockport)

Contract Type - Flexible Supply 

Salary - Daily rate based on experience and capped at Teacher Main Pay Scale 6

The Role

We are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Supply Teachers to join our team and work across our schools in Greater Manchester. This role offers flexibility and variety, enabling you to deliver high-quality teaching in different settings while making a positive impact on pupils’ learning and development. This role may include short term or long-term assignments, alongside ad hoc assignments in any one of our schools.

Key Responsibilities

As a primary school supply teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Operate in line with ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ and the Teacher Standards
  • Delivering engaging and effective lessons in line with the UK curriculum, for planned and unplanned teacher absences.
  • The role requires flexibility to teach in EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Manage classroom behaviour to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth transitions for pupils.
  • Utilise a range of teaching resources and technologies to enhance learning.
  • Follow safeguarding policies to ensure pupil safety and wellbeing.
  • To comply with our Trust policies.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
  • Availability, at short notice, is essential as assignments may range from on the day of emergency cover for teacher absence to planned absences for training, PPA or long-term absence.
  • Enhanced DBS registration on the update service is essential. Anyone without one must be willing to apply for one as part of the recruitment process.
  • Strong understanding of the UK curriculum (EYFS, KS1, KS2).
  • Previous experience in primary or secondary school settings.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different teaching environments and schools.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to pupil success.
  • Flexibility and reliability to meet varying supply needs.
  • Willing to engage with our Trust Induction Day, Safeguarding Training and any other statutory training required for the role.
