Gamesley Primary School is a proud, resilient and close knit community serving an area with high levels of deprivation and significant social need. Many of our children and families face complex challenges, and the support we provide goes far beyond the classroom. This context shapes our ethos: we believe that strong relationships, early help and compassionate pastoral care can transform life chances.
Our pastoral team is central to this mission. We work closely with families, external agencies and staff to ensure that every child feels safe, understood and able to learn. The work is varied and meaningful, from supporting attendance and safeguarding, to building trust with families, and helping children regulate their emotions and navigate difficult moments.
We are looking for a Pastoral Manager who brings warmth, resilience and professional curiosity; someone who can hold boundaries with kindness, advocate fiercely for children, and work collaboratively to remove barriers to learning. In return, you will join a dedicated staff team who care deeply about our community and who believe wholeheartedly in the difference that high quality pastoral support can make.
